Virtual reality continues to grow at increasing speeds and the possibilities are endless. Virtual reality headset games are just one aspect of this, and it’s a market that is quickly growing into a thing of its own.

There’s so much choice that, within the next decade or so, VR gaming looks to challenge consoles. Whatever genre of gaming you are into, you’re sure to find something that suits your tastes. So, without further ado, here are some of the best VR games that you can get for your money.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR (Oculus Rift, PS VR, HTC Vive)

A virtual reality extension of the console classic, Skyrim VR immerses you in the open-world map that you may already be familiar with, except that it’s a whole new experience. The motion controls make the game seem completely realistic. You’ll engage with the world around you in a way that you will have never experienced before. It’s an absolute delight and a must-buy virtual reality game set.

Batman: Arkham VR (Oculus Rift, PS VR, HTC Vive)

Step right into the bat suit with Batman: Arkham VR. You’ll fight the bad guys with left-hand and right-hand motion sensors and study crime scenes with forensic attention to detail. This is a less action-packed Batman game than its predecessors, and while it does have its adrenaline-pumping moments it’s more of a detective-based game. It’s cinematic, beautiful, and mysterious – just like the best Batman films. The exception here is that you get to be Batman!

Fallout 4 (HTC Vive)

It’s a shame that this is just for HTC Vive. If you have the HTC Vive however, you’re in for a treat. You get to explore the apocalyptic plains of Fallout 4, from the many beasts born from radioactive waste to the endless cast of characters you meet along the way. If you think the game was immersive on consoles, just wait until you step into the VR version. You’ll use direct-stick movement on the HTC Vive so you can move about easily. It’s one of the best VR headset games you can get.

LA Noire: The VR Case Files (HTC Vive)

HTC really has a monopoly on some of these games! If you don’t own a HTC Vive, we’ll excuse you for scrolling past this part. If you loved LA Noire on the PS3/Xbox then you’ll fall right back in love with it here. There are seven murder cases to solve here, and as the game places you right back into the lush visuals of 1950s Los Angeles – with the shiny Cadillacs, shadowy streets, and fedora-clad criminals trying to act inconspicuous – you’ll wish the game would never end. Hunting for clues and determining whether someone is lying or not has never been more enjoyable.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (PS VR)

Some of gaming’s scariest, most spine-tingling moments have come courtesy of the Resident Evil games, and the VR equivalent is no exception. Don’t play this with the lights off! You play Ethan Winters, and you find yourself in Louisiana searching for your missing wife. Whether you’re wading through swamps or investigating abandoned buildings, the atmosphere is dialled up to 1,000. Tense, terrifying, dark, and just plain scary. This is a survival game like no other; life on the bayou has never been this nerve-racking.

Game with confidence and security

If you want to take your VR headset out and about – say, to a friend’s house, for example – then you’ll need something to transport it in. Something safe and secure, like a VR case. We have a vast range available, so take a look.

In the meantime, keep an eye on our VR news. We’ve often got new blogs going up!
